A member of the National Multifamily Housing Council and the National Apartment Association, Marcus Lyons of Chattanooga, Tennessee, has established himself as one of the region’s largest build-to-rent developer. The founder of the Lyons Group, he draws on 12 years of real estate development and brokerage experience to plan, develop, and manage build-to-rent and multi-family communities.
Since 2019, Marcus Lyons has led the Chattanooga firm in more than $100 million in lease-up construction and development throughout Tennessee. Along with operating his own firm, Mr. Lyons previously served as a senior director with Berkadia from 2015 to 2021. In his leadership position with the lender, he brokered and financed over 800 million in multi-family apartment transactions. Berkadia is a leading lender for institutions including the Federal Housing Administration, Fannie Mae, and Freddie Mac. A former student at the University of Tennessee Chattanooga, Mr. Lyons’ notable developments also include Forest Hills, Hamilton Villas, Villas at 321, Villas on Apison and Ashford Villas.
